Shar Pei Beagle Mix Puppy

Hi every one!! This January we bought a puppy!! His name is Austin Wagger (my daughter gave him his last name lol) and he was 4 months old when we got him. We've had him a little over a month and he is getting bigger and adjusting to being in our family. The day we bought him his sister was adopted too. She was too cute with a white coat and brown spots. Some of the things we've noticed is that: Having a dog is like having a toddler He loves to chew almost everything Dogs lose teeth! (I really didn't know) Crate training is hard and takes patience With that being said I find having a dog interesting even though i am a cat person. :) I love all animals but cats are just so funny to me. Since it has been over a month having him he usually sleeps through the night and doesn't bark unless something is wrong or he's playing. Taking him out in the middle of the night was challenging at first but we do it most nights, some nights he sleeps all night. C

Keeping my hair healthy with wash n go's

Lately I've been doing wash n go's and I really like them so far. I can't believe I haven't done them before!! I thought my hair wouldn't look curly enough so I always did braid outs. I tried twist outs before but my roots would always be puffy so I decided there not for me. I may try them again in the future though. Curling Custard Eco Styling Gel Back to my wash n go's I used kinky curly knot today curling custard for my first and second wash n go and the second one lasted two weeks. I was very pleased with the results because my hair didn't shrink as much as it usually does. One thing I don't like is that my looks a little stringy in the front but that may be because of the way I put it in. For my third wash n go I used olive oil eco styler gel and my curls were poppin seriously. I didn't like my second day hair because it had shrunk so much but that may be because I didn't do the pineapple method that I did with the curling cus

My baby girls first laugh!!

My little sweetheart brightened up my day with the cutest laugh on Wednesday. It was her first actual laugh and it was so cute! Thursday my husband caught it on camera and we had a full blown conversation and she was cracking up!! Ava is growing wonderfully and reaching all of her milestones. She is now kicking her legs in her bouncer to make her self bounce. She has the cutest little chunky legs and cheeks.  Its Saturday and me and Ava are relaxing and enjoying this day and so far she has taken two long naps. Now she is up in her bouncer talking to me while I write this post. It's truly blessing to be her mommy.  Pictures below!!        Daddy and daughter at the mall :)                                                           Chilling in her bouncer :)                                                                Tummy time!! :)

Benefits of Protective styling

Since being natural for 5 years going on 6 I have grown my hair to bra strap length. Now I'm at arm pit length due to me slacking on my routine during pregnancy. I love to style my hair in many different styles and experiment with hair color. I would be at waist length if I had kept up with protective styling like I did when I first started my journey. I love how diverse my hair is and it tempts me to play in my hair all the time. I used to roller set my hair weekly as a protective style when I was transitioning. Roller setting my hair helped tremendously with me retaining length, but as my hair grew longer I did not like roller sets in my hair. My next got to style was buns, I loved my buns and I became a pro at making my bun flawless. After so long of wearing a bun you have to consider your edges and my edges were definitely taking a hit so I had to improvise. I went back to the basics and start to wear my hair in single braids. Not small braids just simple plot braids aka Celi

Two Months old My love My world!!

Ava is 2 months old already! Time is is flying and I'm enjoying every moment I get to spend with her. She is holding her head up better and loves to sit up like a big girl. I'm very happy about being a stay at home mom because I don't want to miss any milestones. She is an absolute joy! Her finger nails grow so fast I have to keep mittens on her hands to keep her from scratching her face. It doesn't help I was scared to clip her nails fearing I would get some skin. I finally clipped them down really good and used a nail file. I gonna keep her mittens off for a day to see how she does. So far I think i'm doing good at this mommy thing. She has her fussy days but I don't mind them at all. When she gives me the biggest smiles they just melt my heart. Her dad is a natural at putting her to sleep. I love seeing them together they are so cute, he has a special bond with her. My little family is a dream come true and I wouldn't trade them for the world. Things

25 years vow renewal

I love when a couple makes a relationship last especially when its 25 years! Yesterday my aunt and uncle renewed their vows to each other. I was one years old when they got married, man that was a long time ago. I really enjoyed myself seeing family that I hadn't seen in a long time. The venue where they had the renewal was outside and it was beautiful. I took pictures of the view because it was so perfect. The weather was amazing as well which is rare in Cleveland. Im so happy for them and wish for them to have many more years together. I've been married for 2 years soon to be 3 on September 4th. Being married to your best friend is such a beautiful thing. I couldn't wish for a better relationship because we are so much alike and different at the same time. Here's to love and making it last. Below are pictures from the ceremony
